Holocene

These were taken quite a few years ago with a Pentax ME Super. I've yet to shoot anything digital I love as much as film. I do enjoy shooting digital for the convenience and ease but when I do any side by side comparison of any image taken with either my Pentax or Minolta and the Nikon, analog wins every single time. The images are just so rich and have a depth that is missing digitally. While beautiful in a modern way, digital photography is slick and almost flat though in my opinion. Perhaps it's the lovely grain that gives film it's quality that can't be duplicated. I am certain however that film renders a color that is far superior to any digital image. These photos were enhanced somewhat in Lightroom but only to de-saturate the colors a wee bit for my personal preference. It's no wonder that every photo editing software and/or app available offers a film like quality or color filter. There isn't anything however, that compares to what is authentic and original.
